Accessibility statement
We want everyone to be able to use this site, including people with disabilities. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA, which also covers Israel’s standard IS 5568.
What we did
- AA color contrast for text and buttons.
- The whole site works with a keyboard, with a visible focus outline.
- A "Skip to content" link on every page.
- Headings, labelled navigation, and language and direction set on every page (English left to right, Hebrew right to left).
- Text alternatives for images that carry information. The drawn pets are decoration and are hidden from screen readers.
- Tap targets of at least 44 pixels. Works with text zoomed to 200% and on narrow screens.
- Animations: the pets move and some sections animate as you scroll. A pause button in the corner stops every animation; the accessibility menu has the same switch, and if your device asks for reduced motion, the site starts without animation.
- An accessibility menu on every page: larger or smaller text, high contrast, highlighted links, a readable font and stopping animations. Your choice is saved only on your device. It is built into the site, with no outside script.
Known limitations
The printable PDFs are fill-in sheets made mainly for printing. If you need their content in another format, email us. Outside sources we link to are not under our control.
Physical access
PupShift has no office open to the public.
